Berlevag and Witches Memorial

What a day....we started in Vardo with the Witches Memorial....a memorial to 98 people murdered in the 1600 for apparent witchcraft..... Very moving, very disturbing, an amazing experience.

Then we drove 4 hrs to Berlevag..in the some of the worst weather ever. There was blowing snow and and icy road....Richard did a great job of driving...I would not normally travel in this type of weather. Grateful to be safe and sound.

As the lovely Miss Shelagh from Scotland said while toasting us all with a wee dram of scotch..."here is to the drivers and the survivors!"
