Just a little more personal…
So Steve Klien asked me if my work was about line, as I had just defended my technique, saying I love the line and the way it moves and becomes fine and gossamer. Right now I think my work is about so much more than just a line, it has the ideas of my insignificance in the landscape and the passing of time. But does my work convey this?
Daniella Salathe, brought in this rock today and I almost flat lined! It is so beautiful I was sure it was carved, but I have been assured it has been worn away by nature...simply amazing!
Why do we spend all this time and energy trying to imitate nature?
